The restaurant was fully booked, so we had to sit outside, which gave a little inconvenience due to noise and smoke from the transport. But we were absolutely satisfied with food, service and atmosphere of the place. This is not one of these posh restaurants that has a chic interior, but mediocre food. In goldfish we enjoyed extremely high quality seafood, great and warm service and unforgettable evening. We had tuna tar as a starter (which was given us as a welcome gift from the restaurant), oysters, hot seafood appetizer and seafood Risotto. Ms owner also helped us to choose the right pairing wine for the food. It was such a nice dinner, will definitely come back when in Vienna.
Beautiful small, modern restaurant, which bets on demanding fish dishes. The menu is not big, but the dishes are well composed and well prepared. We ate oysters, octopus carpaccio with herbs and swordfish tatar with mango. You have a good choice of green Veltiner. The service is friendly and welcoming. If you wish to change from the slightly heavy Central European cuisine with sprinkler and bratkartoffel, goldfish is a great place to visit.
Apart from the fact that he is not ready to serve every customer at 10:30, the owner demanded Mrs Frisch a return in another half hour to do what Goldfish should do to sell fish. But even for 11 sakes... they are confused to sell fish, because it is obviously neither ready nor able to be in this business and not ready for the sale of fish! After my advice, simply change the opening hours from 10:30 to 11 to offer more of a pleasant customer experience, she refuses to accept this feedback and asks the customer to leave the store. So that she can think about another half an hour or two or three, whether she's in the store, selling fish or not.
This unique concept combines a fish vendor with a small but very good fish speciality restaurant. the kitchen is open mainly at noon the shop from 9:30 to 19.00
Ganz ohne Schnickschnack,authentisch, sensationelll guter Fisch: Essen im Goldfisch mit österreichisch-französischem Charme und ausgezeichneten Weinen! Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, auch wenn das Lokal eher spartanisch eingerichtet ist. Zuvorkommendes, freundliches, unkompliziertes Service. Eine ganz wunderbare Erfahrung! Leider nur bis 19 Uhr geöffnet, am Freitag bis 22 Uhr.Reservierung wird unbedingt empfohlen.Eine ganz klare Empfehlung, wenn man exzellent Fisch essen möchte!!
