Apicius Restaurant - Vienna

The restaurant is right next to Motel One Wien Staatsoper, which is why I chose it. Even if I went to dinner without reservation and late (21:30-22:00) the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was served quickly and was good.

Because of bad snow weather, we're in there. Only after we had taken the clothes off and a seat-keeper informed us about the kitchen is closed soon. We order bear and a cheese mix that we had waited almost 15-20 minut!!! ... Perhaps this restaurant only appreciates local and Italian people... Anyway, we were very often kidnapped. The price is not so cheap.

By accidence we popped in at Apicius opposite the Opera house. High quality dishes prepared with high end and fresh ingredients. Great service and hospitality by staff who just wants to serve you and wants you to enjoy great food, good music and a good...atmosphere. My wife is organizing cooking classes in Tuscany but even she was impressed. Great food at reasonable prices. Absolutely and highly recommended.

Freundlicher Service. Stolze Preise. Überhaupt für guten Wein. Das Essen (Tomatensuppe und danach Pasta mit Lachs) war gut. Findet man aber an jeder anderen Ecke auch.

I came here because it was time for dinner, snowy and this restaurant was near my hotel. Warm reception through the waiter and beautiful atmosphere, especially the vault brick ceiling. I ordered minestrone soup that was delicious, although not as rustic as I... used, followed by spaghetti with a very pleasant fresh tomato sauce. Adequate price and fast service.
