Food is ok, service is so slow. They take priority to call in take out orders before people taking the time to dine in. 3 tables of people in the restaurant (including our table) and waited over an hour to get grits with eggs, and a kids burger with fries. When asking after 45 minutes what’s up, we were told like it was not a big deal that they had a huge call in order and had about 12 orders before ours because of call in. Makes it not worth the wait. Just to say this is not a one off situation. 4 visits, 3 of the 4 were about the same. One visit did go much smoother, however I don’t believe they had call in orders backed up that day. Priority should be those dining in, just tell the call ins a later pick up time.
Great food for cheap. I got a full meal for under $5. My only complaint is that the building doesn't seem to be wheelchair accessible (unless there is a back entrance), so I couldn't bring my mom back with me.
Super nice staff and cozy place, but my food wasn’t great at all… especially for the price.Came at lunch time and got the special, which was pot roast with potatoes, celery, carrots and rice. Sounded good. Came out with a little crescent roll and small cobb of corn. Overall, it was very homemade looking, which is great. The bad part is that it was pretty cold, and honestly tasted kind of like canned or prepackaged roast beef : the rice was the bulk of the dish sitting at the bottom and tasted like minute rice)… and there truly was only one small bite of roast beef in the whole dish, along with. Small bite of fat. The rest was just rice and a few potato chunks. All for $13.Truly not trying to be mean, but just giving my experience. Like I said, the staff was great and super friendly, and kept my drink full! Left a nice tip, but probably won’t be back.
