After commenting on our waitress Carmen, about another waitress who combed her hair next to the beverage machine, we never saw Carmen after she had served our food. No review, no refills and no box to go. We went to the register alone to pay. No service... no tip. No, thanks. Last trip there.
So we went black Friday and it was about 80% full. The waitress we got took our order and the food came in a reasonable time (10min) . After dinner we wanted to pay and go, but it took the waitress like 15 minutes to come to our table. We asked if we could get our check and get some boxes. We waited 15 minutes to get the check and she said the boxes would come. So we thought we could finally go, but no. It took 15 minutes for them to lead the 1 card and go the boxes. I know the holiday season is hectic and black Friday is no exception, but an hour to get our check and go is either a ploy to stay in our seats, so no more people would come (there was a line out) or just terrible time management. And yes, we tried to wave our waiter like 5 times.
I'm just through Victoria, so problems in other reviews can actually be normal, but I wouldn't know. Our service this morning was fast and excellent. The food was pretty good and came out as fresh as possible. My waitress lets me know they don't have the right sauces for pancakes this morning, but immediately offered to put a new order for me so I could get something I enjoy. I didn't mind, and I ate the pancakes anyway. They were good ̄ (data) ̄This situation would definitely benefit from a rebuilding, especially in the bathrooms, but I realize that this could be a problem for the larger company that cannot be treated at the level of this individual location.
Don't get me wrong, I love iHop. I had to give him a star now, although this assessment is not unnoticed. It's Sunday and it's busy. That's reasonable. I've been waiting in line with other people for almost an hour. As a former manager, I'm not okay with the way they run this place. I see workers standing there while at least 5 tables are open, they just need to be cleaned. That's why they get a star. Staff standing around should clean the tables to move the line. I saw them not wiping these tables in the last thirty minutes while three workers are standing around. It doesn't matter if it's not in the job description or you're a manager. It is easy to clean the table and keep the line moving. There is no reason to have a line outside when the only problem is dirty tables. Clean. The tables.
We came to this location after attending a concert in the area. We sat down quickly and ordered our food within 10 minutes. The food should have taken about 10 minutes to prepare, but between several times we were assured that our order would be out soon, we sat for about 50 minutes and still had not gotten our food. Somehow they prepared our food to go but never told and constantly assured us that our order would be ready soon. We left a tip and left.This was by far the worst restaurant experience that I have ever had. If possible, I’d rate this a 0.
