Bidra med feedbackOnly go to to Trini on Sat. because I only order the goat dish and it's available only on weekends. The meat was tender and the sauce was flavourful. The chicken roti was good, but the goat dish was better.
GOOD FOOD WRONG LOCATION .... GOOD FOOD WRONG LOCATIONtheir rotis are amazing
Cheesy name, awesome food. My brother took me to this place housed in a little strip mall in a residential area of Victoria. Half a dozen formica tables with kitchen chairs. Nothing Caribbean about the atmosphere in the place except for a few photos and knick knacks from Trinidad. But the food awesome. Fresh, pillowy roti shells filled with flavourful potato and chickpea curry and a variety of proteins. Get there early on Saturday or the doubles will be gone (for the uninitiated, doubles are fritters topped with a savoury curry chickpea stew. Not spicy unless you fix them that way. Delicious). The Buss up Shut goat curry is only available on Saturday as well. In addition to the roti options there are some fish dishes available including Trini style fish and chips, but not tested on this visit. This is a great find.
Delicious! Spiced, not spicy : . Chicken Roti is my fave. The spices are so yummy! They adjust the hot sauce for you and are good with their spice levels.<br/ <br/ Very flavorful! I get cravings for this all the time now. Roti is freshly made. Very filling. Good prices. Good service.<br/ <br/ Casual, neighborly feel to the place. I usually get take out.
Small Menu Big Food. Great little take-out/ casual dining restaurant. Initially we thought $9 was a bit expensive. The roti shells are made here by hand and the fillings are very tasty: we could hardly get through one delicious roti each. Just up from the Federal Forestry Bldg and next to the Burnside Mkt with easy parking and only a block of the GG Trail. Nothing greasy, everything grilled and traditional Trinidadian. Very friendly family owned run; can answer all your questions about the food in Trinidad. Word of mouth is the best advertising, so try their food then spread the word.
