Wonderful! Their desserts are fantastic and the ice cream sandwiches are massive! Great value for the price!

The best sundae in town has a homemade touch to it. The atmosphere is lovely.

Great Banana Split, the best one I have ever tasted. Such yummy treats, so much good stuff to choose from.

The My-Chosen Sugar Shack is a great place to visit to satisfy one’s sweet tooth. They serve all kinds of delectable treats, from cookies to miniature versions of your favourite My-Chosen desserts (pies and cheesecakes). For my money, the Metchosin Bar is the standout – it’s a fun play on the Nanaimo bar, only much better! I should note, as well, that the Sugar Shack serves many a gluten free item as well.But the Sugar Shack is so much more than a sweet shop; they also carry a number of wonderful gifts that symbolize the natural beauty of the Islands: glass-works, cards and other such works of art. As such, this place is one not to be missed when visiting the area. Definitely some of the best sweets around! If you are longing for a walk down memory lane, an experience reminiscent to when you were a child at a soda shop, this is a neat experience not only for the desserts but for the destination.A great menu of basic gooey goodness. Fun to grab a cone or a dessert and sit and enjoy the venue. Lots of beautiful trinkets, crafts etc. to browse and buy. I was there to get a birthday cake. We chose the chocolate silk, which lived up to its name. It was so delicious. Really moist dense chocolate cake and icing and ganache that tasted of quality. Not the heavy, greasy icing you get at grocery stores. But beware a small piece goes a long way. This cake is ultra rich.And the service at the Sugar Shack is always welcoming, helpful and warm.I love this place!
