Sura Korean Restaurant - Victoria

Ordered the Korean BBQ for 2. It was cooked by one of the waiters in front of us. The meal was good and the staff was warm and friendly. Only negative I can say is that they charge for additional sides and not sure about ventilation considering it's a bbq place. Other than that, we enjoyed the experience and will try it again.

I'm spoiled by the great Korean restaurants in Vancouver but this place is still pretty good. I tried the Korean barbecue, a few of their regular entrees, and a few sides, and they were all good.

<br/ Wow.<br/ This is going to be my go to Asian food fix for a while.<br/ Fresh ingredients served up crackling hot.<br/ Multiple sides. Included. Yes?!.<br/ Huge menu that I will have to return and explore.<br/ Funny thing.<br/ This place has evidently been serving up hot pots for some time.<br/ The main plate serving spots on the laminate countertops are all discoloured and cracked. <br/ Love it.<br/ Thanks.<br/ <br/ Update: OK. I may have hit it at peak that first visit.<br/ On subsequent visits and having ordering other menu items I've got to relate that the deep fried choices just don't do it for me.<br/ Way too greasy.<br/ Could be I'm just getting healthier generally but,....nope.<br/ Will keep trying here. The soup based meals. The hot pots.<br/ But jeesh.

Great food and great value for money. We had a BBQ combo for two, two adults and two young kids, plus one soup and we couldn't finish. They were very generous too with replenishing various extras. The wait staff was very nice and went to the kitchen to double check our food allergy concerns.

Love this place!! Very tummy food, a family favourite restaurant, the only reason why I give this place 4 stars is because of the prices, I feel it's over priced and almost need to break my bank just to take a family of four to eat there for dinner. But definitely worth a visit <br/
