Heron Rock Bistro - Victoria

We made a reservation for seven people at 3 p.m. and were impressed by the excellent service we received. The drinks and appetizers were delicious. I haven't been to this restaurant many times, but that will have to change - I really like this place.

The waitstaff was highly knowledgeable about allergies and the ingredients in the dishes. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the location was unique.

The Clam Chowder was bursting with clam flavor, and had more carrots than potatoes. The French onion soup had a rich broth and delicious melted cheese. Both dishes weren't too salty, which was great. The pork belly sandwich was tasty, although a bit messy to eat because of the sauce. It came with a surprising addition of sliced grapes, pumpkin, and sesame seeds. The restaurant is definitely a short walk from the coast.

Great place for lunch. The sandwich was very good! The bread pudding was delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. Very recommended!

What an excellent dinner! Valerie met our dietary restrictions with professional grace and a friendly attitude. Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and no blaring music. We don’t live in the neighborhood however we’re going to make this a destination for future evenings. Bravo Heron Rock!
