Two of us stopped happy hour during a Friday afternoon. The place comes to life, it seems that we are made with the pandemic. When the weather improves the city center, more tourists and places like this will see flowering again. This day the service and food were excellent.

The food was good, got hot and ordered. We had to wait a very long time after we finished eating until the server came by and ask if we wanted dessert. They might have been short-circuited since there are so many restaurants lately, but... it seemed longer than it should be. The location was comfortable around the corner of our hotel and the seats were very comfortable.

I've been here regularly for seven years. Once a week on Tuesday, when I met a friend for a beer and an appy, the servers knew us and would bring us our drinks automatically. It's still my place to meet friends. During the worst of Covid, they had strict protocols, and I was getting back from the high peaks of private cabins. The service is consistently good; the same with food. Try to close their Happy Hour Specials: 3-6pm and 9pm. Food as well as drinks are on a large scale. I personally love sharing a record of their nachos, you need to try them.

We went to lunch at 11:30 a.m. The lunch was really not up until we left. Many tables are available. Our meals were okay, but the soup was warm. Service was good.

If you’re in the neighbourhood around lunch time, you can enjoy some nice options at Brown’s. There are plenty of booths, as well as some umbrellas outside for the clear sky days. They seem to deal well with COVID. We enjoyed draft beers (love that...Guinness!! with our burger and beef dip choices. My wife is fussy about burgers and said the meat was delicious. The accompanying salad was plentiful and delicious (I know, as we shared it . The french fries with the Beef Dip were tasty and hot (the way I wish all restaurants would do it . Friendly staff made it a special experience.
