Akemi Sushi - Victoria

I ordered the salmon and tuna rice bowl and tonkatsu rice bowl. The salmon and tuna rice bowl was a bit disappointing, I would not suggest trying it. However, the tonkatsu was incredibly tasty! The restaurant had a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, and the service was very good.

Nice little quaint sushi place in Langford. The customer service was really great and friendly. The atmosphere and music was perfect. I went there by myself and it did not disappoint. The portions were fair and pretty tasty. My only qualm is that the soup had a hint of bleach smell, i assume from the way things are washed which is nice to know it is clean, but also a bit harsh compared to the miso smell.

The sushi is good and tastes very fresh. Our palette isn't adventurous, we order the California rolls, dynamite roll, spicy shrimp roll, and prawn tempura. All very fresh and tasty. The prices were on the lower end of average, if that makes any sense. Not inexpensive. It wasn't busy, however we only recently became aware of the restaurant.

I finally had some delicious sushi after years and I loved it! The only downside was the indoor decor, which looked a bit gloomy. I think if they lit the fireplace it would make the atmosphere much cosier.

The prawn tempura was delicious.. Very hot and tasty. The spider roll was quite good, but it is very wide/difficult to bite. The terriyaki chicken bento box left more to be desired. The sauce was good but the chicken was less then great. I'd return and get the prawn tempura and try other sushi rolls. Take out was easy to order over the phone and very quick to pick up!
