Moro's - VICO DEL GARGANO

We chose to have our 50th anniversary dinner party for 30 people at Moro's restaurant in San Menaio. Turned out to be a fabulous, unforgettable evening! Everything was perfect! Giuseppe, the owner, and I had discussed possible menus days before and had agreed on making it a seafood menu, and that's exactly what we had for each course. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Items included: tuna tartare, octopus, fried anchovies, stuffed mussels, prawns, calamari, and various pastas. One of my favorite dishes was the tuna with thyme olive oil and pistachios, all presented under a dome of olive wood smoke. Spectacular! The service was professional, unobtrusive, and with a smile. I have to add that my husband has a specific food allergy which I told Giuseppe about. He notified his chef, kitchen staff, and his servers. He could not have done a better job making sure that my husband's food was kept away from the food he couldn't eat. Lastly, I have to share that the ambiance at Moro's is lovely. We watched the sunset and enjoyed dancing to the live music. It's kid friendly too! Thank you Moro's for giving us a night we will never forget!

We had the good fortune of dining at Moro's in San Menaio last week. We arrived for dinner just as the sun was setting into the sea and had front row seats on Moro's well appointed patio. We ordered the Tartare di tonno for our appetizer, which was amazing. For my main, I am still dreaming of the orecchiette con pesto di pistacchio e cozze that I devoured. The ambience was very beautiful and fun. The staff was polite and cheerful. It was a night and a meal that I will remember for a long time. Please treat yourself to this jewel of San Menaio.

Called in for some lunch by the sea. I had the fried anchovies and my wife had the tuna tartar. Both were very well prepared and delicious. I look forward to any excuse to return.
