Bidra med feedbackThere is an English menu to assist with ordering, but there are some terms that are lost in translation. One staff member was able to speak in English a bit. They are super friendly and the presentation is classy. I am not sure if it was intentional, but as a seasoned traveler who has eaten in nice restaurants as part of a group, it is often an opportunity to try a variety of things by tasting what your dining companions have ordered. The staff selected the same primi for three of us. This was a little disappointing and led us to overindulging by ordering more food to sample. We ended up ordering 2 *extra* primi dishes, after realizing the kitchen staff had brought us three of the same dishes. The porcini mushroom pasta had a very mild flavor, as did the vegetable gnocchi pasta. The raspberry risotto was unique flavorful. I particularly enjoyed the gnocchi with the blue cheese sauce. The food is created with many local ingredients which is nice.
Had Christmas lunch with family here. Lake Meugliano is a small lake sitting among mountains and hills some 20 kms from Ivrea and 60 kms from Turin, a very picturesque place. We had a real banquet for Christmas day, featuring five different starters, all plentiful, tasty And well presented, followed by two pasta dishes (actually a great risotto and saffron ravioli filled with goat cheese And pistachio). The plat de resistence was a delightful stew with caramelized onions And vegetables. To end the meal a lovely semifreddo nougat. Portions were substantial, local wine good And plentiful, service friendly And professional And price... Just 39€ all included! A fantastic bargain to enjoy the great food of Piedmont. When visiting Ivrea or Turin a detour here is worthwhile indeed, And not only for the landscape!
We went at the lake sunday, it was lunch time and we decided to eat at l'incontro. They offered salami and cheese. We had a wonderful starter: cheese mousse with lardo and mocetta slices served with honey. We had risotto with peperoni cream and mozzarella di bufala and a plate of fresh pasta served with castelmagno, nuts and pistacchios. For desert: semifreddo, good, and a novecento cake really good. My child ate a plate of gnocchi with herbs that were good and a delicious sorbetto. With a bottle of wine we paid 70 euros
