Atami Japanese Grill - Vicksburg

Great food. Enjoyed hibachi and sushi. Friendly attentive service, amazingly fast. A little tricky to find--in a little strip mall hidden behind Walgreens

My wife and I went for lunch on Sunday. The place was busy, but not crowded. We were seated right away and given our drinks. The end... After our drinks, the servers never made contact with us again, never took our order. We tried to get her attention, no luck. After 20 minutes, we walked out. I can count on one hand the number of times, in my life, that I have ever walked out of a restaurant without eating. The food may be wonderful, but I'll never know.

Good food, good service. I had the shrimp hibachi entry for lunch. It came with two dumplings, two pieces of sushi, and soup. Everything was good. The vegetables in the hibachi were crisp and not over cooked. I?ll be back!

Let my start by saying the Sushi was amazing! We really enjoyed the food with our visit. Our waitress was very nice, but you could tell she was over worked because they were short staffed. All in all a good experience, and would recommend the restaurant. My only detraction was that the kitchen and support staff seemed to be on their own schedule while the rest of the restaurant hustled around them.

Excellent service, super friendly attentive staff, and high quality sushi. Tip the sushi chef and they treat you like a VIP. Arrive early on a Friday night as they close by 8. Great place for a date night.
