Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I were excited to go to dukes being by the sea I thought I’d have fish. It didn’t begin well when our starters of squid was served up the coating on the squid was soft and doughy. My fish and chips was not only oily and greasy the oil smelt old. On the positive side good wine list and the crème brûlée was delicious. Service: 3 Location: 4
Really poor experience, we arrived and asked to have a drink (two of us), and were shown to a table (after being ignored by one bar member), once seated they told us it was table service so we read the menu and then sat and waited 15 minutes for anyone to come to us, in the end we flagged someone down to order. The place was freezing cold, and the door was left open meant most everyone had coats on and someone even asked to move tables because it was so cold. Once we finished our drinks we, like many others around us had to go to the bar to pay only to be greeted by unfriendly customer service. Bad vibes for a fairly quiet November Sunday.
Service and food fantastic. I have to say the frys were best I've ever tasted, not just oven chips, but crunchy and morish
We have only eaten here once before. But again the food and service was excellent. Very affordable 2 course Sunday lunch £21:95. Sorry about the pictures to eager to dig in. Empty plates
Beautiful dinner and a great experience in The Dukes Inn, lovely table with a comfortable and warm space. Beautiful food with a good menu. Loved my Bloddy Mary and many other Vodka and cokes, the burger I had was fantastic too. Will definitely be back. Was served in the evening by Dan whom should take a bow to how fantastic his service was, above and beyond is the term to use, he picked up everything we needed and more. Will definitely be back
