Il Marcantonio - VIAREGGIO

This is a restaurant with food cooked from scratch. The quality of ingredients is exquisite and the taste is super. We had grilled squid, mussels, ravioli with goat cheese and spinach, and schnitzel milanese and beer. Very good service and nice location.

Sample this place, after seeing it full the night before. Disappointed with the result, but our expectations may have been too high. Food was average, like most of those restaurants on the promenade. Service was lacking, especially as a couple of orders were forgotten, when the place wasn't even busy.

Food was good no complaints, however the service was terrible. Food slammed down on tables and made us feel very unwelcome as foreigners.

First few visits ok. Got a discount staying in hotel opposite. Two times new staff gave very bad service. Had to ask 3 times for wine glass and bread. Probably many better places to eat.

The menu is limited if you don't want pizza but we really enjoyed the food here. We went back 3 times! The price is quite reasonable and the staff were efficient. If you are looking for a pizza or meat dish something simple after a busy day exploring then this place is great.
