Blackwell's - Vestavia Hills

I was almost a year since we ate here. when we came, we noticed some changes at the venue as well as the menu. the employees were all incredibly nice and helpful, even for their first day. the bar manager came by, imagined and was very helpful and even told us about upcoming events. So, the main revision, the eating. the Pimento-Käseburger was amazing! pimento inhouse! very recommended.

Had a meeting with friends there. Salad was great. Apitizer was fresh and HUGE!!! Steak and Pommes were very good. Steak was cooked correctly without the spices per order. Friends were plentiful and golden brown. Crispy and too hot to eat! Dessert wasn't necessary, but I couldn't resist. Service was great. Place was immaculate. The chairs were comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean. Although they were very busy and our group was quite large, service times were very good. We're going back.

Baked green tomatoes were not great, but got a club sandwich and it was AMAZING, staff was very friendly and I think everyone came to talk to us a point that is really good because the customer service is a lost art these days, will definitely return

Nice service and food, but on Tuesday night the music is terrible. People are likely to have ages 30 to 60 but only strange really long songs with guitar that goes on forever. No folk music from the last decades. A star for music on Intercom, 4 to 5 for food and service.

I want Blackwells to be good. It is very close to my house and the food is pretty good. But... The service is consistently slow and has been for years, even under new management. I have been numerous times when they are slow and it's incredible how long it can take to get food. Tonight I ordered a to-go order, they gave a 30 min pickup time which is long to begin with. I waited 25 min and went to pick up order at the bar. Spoke to bartender about my order.... And waited 20 minutes without ever getting an update. Finally asked about it, and oh they didn't box it up it will be just a second. Get food 55 minutes after ordered... Get home and fries are cold and damp. Had obviously been sitting unattended while I sat at bar also unattended...... Good onion rings.
