Bidra med feedbackAte here based on my hotel recommendation. Got mixed feelings about it. Atmosphere is good, cozy and relaxed. Service was uneven: first I was told by the waiter that the place was full, manager popped up and there was an available table. Then I decided to order a typical local dish (Risotto al Amarone and said she said only for 2 people minimum and couldn’t be cooked for 1 only. Later another Waiter told me it could’ve ordered without problem (geez! . Food was great, assorted salumi, pasta with ragú, everything was great. Waiter David is very servicial and attentive but other ones have no clue of what they’re doing.
This restaurant was recommended to us and we ended up eating there 3 times. There is an extensive pizza menu with many specialities and the valpollicella risotto is wonderful. Friendly staff and an interesting interior with an outside area to sit out in in warm weather.
We ordered a marinara pizza and a diavola? (Spicy sausage one). They were Ok, but for the price they cost. But the wine of the house was bad, quite vinegary. Quite pricy for an OK experience.
We were here at the end of April. Very quite in this time of the year. There was an outside area as well. Tried stewed horse with polenta meat was a bit oversalted, donkey pasta good but not too much taste of donkey, house red wine was cheap and nice (10€/bottle), their pizza though was really good! Recommend this place for pizzas.
Al Bracere specializes in American style steaks and other meats. Music is mostly jazz, hand picked by Manuel, who is the best waiter we came across on our trip through Verona, Venezia, Roma... Manuel suggested a change in the table (away from a noisy couple) guided us through the menu, rather expertly and patiently.
