Le Cezanne - Vercheny

Albeit on the road it is a beautiful place with shady garden. The lunch was excellent and not expensive (14, all inclusive), the friendly waitress speaks several languages. Worth returning.

Le Cezanne is a friendly family-run restaurant in the heart of the lovely Drome Valley, surrounded and sheltered by impressive rocky hills. Aurelie and Tristan offer a warm welcome and good food for lunch on most days, and in the evening during the tourist season. My wife and I enjoyed a very good four-course meal in the company of our Rotary Club friends and we are looking forward to the next occasion towards the end of March, when they will be hosting the village's communal lunch to celebrate the return of Spring. There is ample parking next to the restaurant, and two terraces where an alfresco meal, a coffee and croissant or a glass of beer or wine can be enjoyed.

Le Cézanne is not a fancy restaurant in the sense of looks. The food however is more than excellent! Prices are more than reasonable. Staff is friendly. Both the surf and the turf dishes were very good!

Une salade aux perles d agrumes (???!!) dont on cherche encore le goût des agrumes ...Un saumon de très très médiocre qualité baignant dans une sauce beaucoup trop safranée ... un accompagnement d un risotto aux asperges avec un très mauvais goût de brûlé et où nous n avons trouvé aucune asperge ... on a arrêté les frais là en nous passant du dessert ! Bref une totale déception !!!! Alors qu on pensait passer un petit moment sympa et simple ... Mais est ce de la cuisine maison ratée ou du montage de très mauvais produits tout faits ?!? On se pose la question ...
