Bidra med feedbackThe Le P'Tit Polyte is situated in a small back room (about 6-7 tables) beyond the main dining room of the Chalet Mounier hotel. A few from our Trek Travel group opted to experience this fine restaurant and glad we did, two of us selecting the more expensive fish-oriented menu and a third the meat menu. All 8 or 9 courses were excellent with the server explaining each dish to us as it was delivered. We skipped the wine package and instead just had a single glass of wine with the meal. We sat down at just past 7:30pm and our meal was finished just past 10:30pm so it does take awhile for all courses to be delivered.
Own a house in town Have been promising myself for two years we’d eat at Ptit Polyte Our local friends, when we said we were eating here last night. were like “you won’t be disappointed” We weren’t!! Lovely ambience Friendly attentive service special mention to Paolo and Fabien and the lovely hostess who I thought was Norwegian due to her Scandinavian appearance but is french : The food was pretty stellar Two of us had the origine set menu and two the seasonal inspiration menu around 9 and 8 courses respectively Loved almost all the dishes l, struggled a bit with the froie gras and the confit egg dishes they were just a bit too rich for me (still lovely The wine, a white burgundy, a Barolo and a light sparkling dessert wine were spot on 5 sublime hours Hard to fault Can’t wait to return (PS my photos don’t do it justice
I didn’t stay in this hotel, but rather came to enjoy the dinner at Le P’tit Polyte, ran by chef Tanguy Rattier. It is rated as a 1-star Michelin restaurant, but I would easily give it a 2-star rating. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was impeccable. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a receptionist who’ll answer all of your questions and will show around the lobby and the patio area. The patio is overlooking Venosc valley- truly the best view you can get in Les Deux Alps. The servers at the restaurant know everything about every dish on a tasting menu, and the sommelier will recommend you what suits the best your choice of courses from a 5000-wines-menu. And don’t worry about the sizes of the dishes. By the end of the tasting, you will full, trust me. : The hotel has a spa and you can access it even if you are staying at a different hotel by ordering massage. During my stay in Les Des Alps, I have walked in to quite a few hotels to see for myself what the facilities look like in order to choose a perfect destination for my winter skiing trip. Chalet Mounier is the only 4-star hotel in the area, and, compared to most of the 4-star hotels in Paris or Lyon (that’s where I stayed in such hotels , this one is above and beyond what you’d expect. It is family owned and Mounier family clearly knows what it takes to create an atmosphere by combining classic chalet design with modern materials. I am definitely planning on staying there in winter to enjoy the Alps fairytale atmosphere at the best ski resort hotel.
Beautiful establishment! very good dishes! However, be careful to cook the red. a little too cooked to my taste. sino everything was perfect from the cocktail served by franck as well as the advice of the sommelier. I also recommend the spa for its massages of very good qualities. It's our turn!
Still a very good time spent at this table in a relaxed and very professional atmosphere. the dishes are exquisite and well proportioned and the wines are sublimated pat the excellent sommelier....very good address.
