First we thought it was a tourist trap, as it is so close to san marco square, but we ended up with a delicious and creative lunch for a reasonable price. yes, it is a bit more pricier than some places in the city, but it is worth the taste of eating and the creativity of the chef
Da carla is a hidden gem of san marco area. just because it was right next to our apartment. the place itself is very beautiful and peaceful. they can take a table outside without people passing and staring: staff is super friendly. we were with two children and they did everything possible to make it comfortable and comfortable. for eating, it is fantastic! Definitiw is worth trying to discover some venetian delis that not only look good, but tastes amazing. they can find something they have never tried or seen before that they can never look like that (dry desserts: . they just trust the personal and their recommendations. highly recommended!
Wonderful, small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant with inventive oriented. the precursors of fried sardines and grilled otopus were simply delicious and art on a teller. we had the vongole and fusiclli cuttlefish pasta for our main thing and it was not disappointed. the dessert is simply bleeding away; we have nothing, the refreshing, good-put together in a long time. beautiful staff with a good portion humor. great wine list. I'd like to think again.
An amazing cool chic place slightly off the tourist trail with most delicious food (little modern twists on local dishes which made it that much better) notwithstanding us coming in for a late lunch at 3.30pm (seems most half decent restaurants here close their kitchens for last orders by 2.30pm or so). Good choice of wines by the glass and very friendly service staff (Giacomo) who knew their offerings and how to recommend. Wouldn’t be surprised if they receive a Michelin star soon if they haven’t already. Highly recommended and will definitely return should I be back in Venice.
