Amazing food cooked with love by a lovely old woman, I've never tasted such good arrabiata and tiramisu, I totally recommend it
If there was an option for half stars, I would award a 3.5 based on the needs of our party. While the menu was fully marked for allergens, gluten free options were limited and there was only one (primi) plate for vegetarians. As such, neither of us felt like we ate enough. It was also very warm it didn't seem they had fans or air conditioning. However, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant and what we did eat was flavourful and cooked well.
Great gluten free lunch spot, with seating outside in the square. Go for lunch as the restaurant closes at 5pm. A gluten free menu is available including pasta, pizza, pies and desserts. Staff also brought me gluten free crackers when they found out I was coeliac. I enjoyed having spinach and ricotta cannelloni and tiramisu as I rarely have them as a coeliac in the UK! It would be great to have more than three options for pizza toppings, and more than one vegetarian option.
We chose this restaurant due to its reputation for being coeliac-friendly (our daughter has the disease). I'm delighted to say we weren't disappointed. Small restaurant, but the waiter didn't hesitate to move tables and chairs to accommodate the five of us. Pizzas excellent all round. Our daughter's pizza took longer to arrive, and the waiter was very apologetic, but at least it was reassuring that the appropriate precautions were being taken in the kitchen. Perhaps a little pricey, but it is in the centre of Venice. I would highly recommend, whether you have coeliac disease or not!
