Bidra med feedbackThis place is AMAZING! Food was delicious and food portions are generous. Service was prompt and friendly. It is by an open square were kids are free to run around. I ordered the four cheese gnocchi, and boy was it good. The cheese was creamy and a perfect portion for one person. Sadly I didn't get dessert so I couldn't tell you how it tasted (probably amazing). Loved this place, outdoor seating and good loc. That's why I give AI Sportivi 5 stars.
We tried this place after reading some reviews. Not sure why people don't go to this place. Like a few people before, we came at 6pm and there were literally no patrons except us. The restaurants next door were almost full. But we stayed on and decided to trust the reviews. Turned out to be the real deal. The vegetable soup was tasty and delicious though a little salty. The tagliolini prawn pasta and spaghetti sea bass were even better but a little salty too. Maybe it's the chef's way? Best thing of all the bill is very reasonable. Less than 50 euros for two. We didn't get the $5 table surcharge and still got served bread. Unfortunately we couldn't eat any more otherwise we would have ordered dessert. All in all it a reasonable place to go for a simple dinner (with a small caveat of food being a little on the salty side).
Excellent Pizza!! This became our pizza place after our first visit. The pizza is excellent and this has absolutely the coldest beer in Venice! Our server Rahim was the BEST! I highly recommend AI SPORTIVI!
Ristorante Ai Sportivi Pizzeria is located in Campo Santa Margherita, a piazza popular with locals in Venice 's Dorsoduro district. I lived in Italy and visited Venice dozens of times, and still found it difficult to navigate the alleys and passageways leading to this sweet little neighborhood. However, if you find yourself in front of this amazing pizzeria I highly encourage you to take a moment to sample the deliciousness within. First off, the restaurant interior is quintessentially Italian. I 'm not sure if it 's real, or just for the tourists, but the ambiance is everything you would hope it to be. Red and white checkered tablecloths cover old wooden tables, and romantic lighting highlights the rustic brick walls covered in black and white photos of the neighborhood over the years. It 's absolute perfection. I 've dined in this restaurant multiple times, but my absolute favorite item on the menu is Pizza Diavola... a simple pizza with tomato, mozzarella and spicy salami. (A note about pepperoni: You 'll find salami on menus in Italy, the closest thing to what Americans call pepperoni. Look for salame picante if you want to try pepperoni with a slight kick. It 's absolutely delicious! The thin crust of Pizza Diavola, with blackened edges, is baked to perfection and served piping hot at the table. Every bite made me want to clasp my hands in delight, and exclaim something incredibly cliché like, Mama Mia! There was no need for embarrassment because everyone else was experiencing their own version of gastronomic bliss, exclamations and all. Do me a favor and check out this wonderful pizzeria if you have a chance.
Such a great find!!! My husband and I were a little early for dinner, we were literally the first people there on a Tuesday evening at 6:00pm and it was as if we had the whole place to ourselves : (we did not make a reservation We sat outside even though it was suuuuuper hot out but they were amazing and pointed the fan at us. Also, this was the ONLY place during our whole Italy vacation that brought us ICE for our water and we were sooooo grateful. They also were surprisingly one of the places to bring us a basket of bread (was delicious We ordered calamari for an appetizer and I asked for it extra fried because I hate the chewy texture and they made it just perfect for me. We also had two liters of their house white wine (around 10 euros and we thoroughly enjoyed it. For our meals we decided to go light an ordered an insalta mista- which is a mixed salad and we got a pizza that had various mushrooms, meats and cheeses on it. Everything we had was absolutely fabulous and our bill was around 50 euros which is soooo amazing. When we asked for the bill, they gave us two free shots of limoncello!! Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing, genuine, delicious and affordable meal. Don't forget to order the house white wine!!
