Bidra med feedbackSet up in the Campo San Polo, this restaurant has excellent food and service. The dinners are well presented and delicious. The desserts are also amazing! We had especially great service from Feroz, a very kind and dedicated server. They have recently changed the name of the restaurant to Trattoria a S. Polo.
Stay away! It is a Non Italian owner! Alternatives: a short walk away is a home made pasta shop with wonderful genuine sauces (name escapes me). a longer walk away is Pizzeria Toto with genuine Italian cooking. Cico has... Bad bread No substance, bad texture, no flavor! worse than white Wonder bread! Bad olives tasted like water, out of a can for sure! Bad mozzarella cheese it disolved without substance! wasn 't chuey! Flavor like water! Bad potatoes flavorless Edible fish I was starving so I ate it. Bad sauce on the fish little flavor, not genuine Italian! Good: Capucino Outdoor seating on the open plaza/square. Service... In the beginning, when I asked the host what was good he refused to tell me and then said sit down and we will tell you. When I asked my waiter what was good the waiter refused to say, and asked me what I prefer... my first clue that it would not be good. More Bad... When I told the young (non Italian) waitress that the meals were not good, she threw up her hands in the surrender position and quickly walked away without saying anything before another word could be said. I have the impression she received such complaints many times.
Stay away from this restaurant. These was the worst meal we ever had in Italy. The best thing about our meal was coffee. The rest was a total misunderstanding. Fish was worse than you could buy in the cheapest bar. It tasted like a frozen gum. Tasteless. MISUNDERSTANDING and big, Big disappointment!!!!! And imagine this they use jar olives full of water and they put it to the salad ?! Really ?!Even the bread they served was old and stale!!! Unbelievable!! Don’t go there !!!
Chosen place sincerely casually while trying to relax from the restless day between museums / art. the place is very suggestive, field san polo is beautiful wide, with green and very quiet. the staff is very kind. we ordered spritz (a classic in venezia,) chips and sardines in saor. all very well. average prices. recommended for a stop to drink something in peace.
A good bar to relax and drink a good drink, alcohol or alcohol that is. the staff is kind and well prepared, great workers, you see. drinks are good and meet expectations. Try.
