Neguess Creole Catering - Vauxhall

Moved to the area 1.5 yrs ago and this has been my go to Haitian spot since. Typically, my visits are on weekends, I have had the pleasure of engaging with Jessica, who consistently is courteous provides exceptional service. And the food is good, hence the 3 stars. But regrettably, today I was disappointed with both the service the quality of my order. Upon attempting to request substitutions, like I’ve done ~5 times before, I was met with an abrupt response from the staff member, “listen listen”; which could have been communicated more tactfully. Then after picking up my “large” order of griot rice, the serving of griot was 90% fat bones (see photo). Then to add insult to injury, to compensate for the lack there of the container of sauce was placed in with the griot, which is not the usual practice of this establishment. If there was no more griot left , wish they would have just said that…because no one is paying $20 bucks for blobs of griot fat bones. My intention is simply to provide feedback to contribute constructively towards enhancement/ improvement. While this experience has been disappointing, not saying I wouldn’t come back, but would definitely think twice if I do I’m def checking my order before I leave.

Amazing eats! The fact that they offer 100% vegetarian makes them even better than the rest because meat in our food is always an OPTION but the others don't understand that. Keep it up, Neguess Creole! ???

Food is good their rice is the star of the show. Jessica was very courteous taking my order. I definitely will be back.

Reply to owner. I went there twice and your attitude was not pleasant. The food also didn't taste good at all. I thought I'd give it a try the second time but I was completed dissapointed. Your attitude smells just like the restaurant smells.
