Bidra med feedbackI just had my wedding reception in La Veranda Resto. The owners and employees were all friendly, helpful and very hard working. The decor was great, the place looked fantastic. And the food! Let me just say that some, if not the best, freshest food I've ever had! I recommend for any event or wedding. Prices are a good value for money. Has made our day very personal and special! We'll never forget! Thanks to Elio, Jasmin and the entire La Veranda staff! (The ladies in the back can cook! Amazing! Steve Helm.
We recently went to dinner while the Savour York region went. We had the opportunity to sample the Roast Beef Sliders, Crispy Califlower, both were delicious. Pizzas as the main were large and plentiful, we took half of each home. Plus Dessert...was fantastic, the Tiramisu.
The decor, food and service was excellent. The menu consisted of an antipasto charcuterie board, appetizers of fried Calamari, Polnta and cheese sticks. On to the penne then roasted chicken breast, wild rice and salad. At our table there was an Aubergine Pamasean court for one of the vegetarian guests who said it was very good. Fantastic bowls of cookies. I think other desserts were brought the bridal party and guests (and were also delicious). Overall the venue was very nice, the service was good and every dish served was delicious!
We recently visited a wedding at the place. If someone is looking for an elegant fine food, I suggest looking elsewhere. Antipasto tablets were placed on tables without serving spoon fork. When I asked for a serving spoon, the server brought me an espresso spoon. I'm pretty sure the canal didn't know what a serving spoon was. When she observed that I tried to use the spoon she brought, she quickly recognized her mistake and brought a fork. Unfortunately, every antipasto tablet then had NO spoon or fork to serve. Every table, the same. The staff should be trained on how to properly serve a dish at a table (people should not use the forks spoons with which they eat to serve themselves from a common plate). Two people (relative) were served raw chicken. Another was served cold steak, and when the salad bowl was taken to the table, the guests did not receive salad dishes. I asked for a drink (sex on the beach) and was told by the bartender that they did not serve special drinks, but I knew that Deluxe Bar was included in the price. One hour later, I watched the bartender who served other guests the exact drink I had asked before. When I confronted the bartender, his answer was before we didn't serve them, and now we can make you one if you want. No excuse, for his mistake, nothing. I must say that the one thing that has upset me most is a whole table with 15 people sitting on it (tables and chairs). Dessert and fruit were not even served. They removed the table to make room for people on the dance floor. A restaurant owner manager should know exactly how many people can comfortably accommodate them at their venue. seating arrangements should have been well thought out for everyone all the time of the event. The people who had removed their table and the chairs stayed without alternative as: go home early, stand at the bar, or go outside sitting on the veranda. As already said, if you are looking for somewhere elegant, with good service, organization and common courtesy I suggest that you look elsewhere. It was a total disappointment.
The management and staff at this restaurant are very nice and the service was superb. The food was excellent! It was a wonderful experience overall. We celebrated our daughter's first Holy Communion and it was amazing. Everyone in my family loved it!
