New Pagoda Restaurant - Vanderhoof

Even if it has little competition and I may live a little biased in the vicinity of one of the largest Chinese communities in Canada serving the product in this facility is the worst attempt of a Chinese meal I have ever experienced.

Well I tried the other Chinese restaurant in town and this one is better! No water chestnuts! This place always has delicious Chinese food! The chow mein, sweet sour pork, deep fried prawns and chicken wings are all better than any where else! Also...reasonable cost. I’m not sure how much the smorg was per person because my Dad paid, but during the week a regular 3 dish combination take away meal is $13.00 with taxes. So it’s cheaper than you’d expect too. Definitely recommend it.

This is always consistent and delicious! I definitely recommend the chicken wings, they are something them that just makes me want more! And there in the combination for the Friday special. Chow Mein, Sweet Sour Pork Chicken wings. Yummy! For under $15.00. And...there is always enough to eat for take away later.

When I first went here, my food was really hot and good. I ordered a platter with fried rice, chopsuey and sweet and sour pork before. This time I ordered a platter with chopsuey, fried rice and shrimp. My rice wasn't hot. My shrimp was...deep fried. It was crispy yes but I assumed, they cooked or heated my rice earlier and just let it stand while frying my shrimp. The chopsuey wasn't that hot too. The girl server is still friendly though.

We came for smorg and the low selection was understocked. It was busy and i don't know why. Greedy people loaded heaps of food when it came out. I think it attracts these pigs as i witnessed a couole men loading up so much food...that noodles hung over plates and fell on the floor. We opted for menu items which took well over an hour to arrive. The food was just ok and i asked for a bit of hot sauce for which i was charged .50!! I waited all the extra time and had a second wine because of the wait and the poor server (not her fault) insisted i pay for the hot sauce despite the wait. We will not return ever! Chow Boyz at Glenns has twice the selection, quality, and service!
