Bidra med feedbackThe first time came here for Korean food, was highly recommended by friends. After more than 30 mins wait, we were seated beside the window. Food slowly came, quiet tasty but need patient to wait. Will come again when it s not busy.
I love to go this restaurant because of gamjatang, tofu soup, kimchi soup and sul rung tang(beef bone soup). My children love their sul rung tang and bean sprout side dish. They always got the bean sprout dish at least two times. Sometimes I go other Korean restaurants but my children don't like bean sprout dishes there. I usually ordered gamjatang but I got kimchi soup and jok bal yesterday. My children ate sul rung tang as usual. I couldn't finish kimchi soup there so I packed it for next meal. Recently, I noticed there are less vegetables in gamjatang but the taste is same as before. I still miss more vegetables in the soup.
Yes, the decor is dated and most times there is only one server. The poor lady works day and night. They have just started the shift with a younger, friendlier lady who speaks English. But we don't go for any of that. I go for the amazingly good kimchi and the best tofu hotpot in town. And for those who do not know, you season the beef soup yourself with the pot of salt provided. The price is right. I don't go anywhere else. If you are looking for a more sophisticated Korean restaurant, venture someplace else. Be prepared to be treated like family as it is more a mom
After looking at reviews on Korean food we decided to try out this place close by to where we live. First off the decor of the place is standard family run Korean restaurant you'll find around Vancouver. Price value was is decent, on the cheaper side of the spectrum. Food wise we found that it's quite plan and flavorless. The beef tongue, tripe and brisket was the worst in term of flavoring. The bibimbap rice was a joke! The rice was soft as if I was eating congee and only had 3 piece of beef mix with the vegetables. Don't expect much of a service here as there is only one server for the restaurant and asking for the side dishes she was quite relentless to give to us. The bean-sports weren't fresh either! :(all in all there are better Korean places of the same price value in town so definitely won't be coming here again.
We went on the recommendation of a Korean family. The place is located on Kingsway
