Our Town Cafe - Vancouver

This is a cafe that's located on Broadway and Kingsway. They serve coffees and various drinks, as well as baked goods and breakfast/lunch items. I had their Espresso Chocolate Cookie, Spinach and Blue Cheese Breakfast Scone, and Blueberry Lemon Almond Muffin. The food was quite good. The staff was also friendly. Even though I haven't tried any of their drinks, I think that this place is worth visiting for the food alone.<br/ <br/ Espresso Chocolate Cookie $3):<br/ 4/5<br/ The cookie was thick, soft and chewy. It had a great fragrance and mild bitterness from the espresso. There was a good amount of chocolate spread throughout.<br/ <br/ Spinach and Blue Cheese Breakfast Scone $6.5):<br/ 3.5/5<br/ This contained cheese, tomatoes, eggs, and mayo. The scones were relatively tender and soft, with a nice savoury flavour; I did find them to be a tad dry. I quite enjoyed the filling inside, in particular the tomatoes, which lent a nice sweetness. <br/ <br/ Blueberry Lemon Almond Muffin $3.25):<br/ 4/5<br/ The muffin was tender, albeit just a tad on the dry side. It had a good amount of fresh blueberries, and a wonderful fragrance from citrus. I came here with a few study notes in hand and decided to get a cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll, both were fairly good as the cinnamon bun was nice and soft. I would likely come back to try some of their panini/sandwiches as they looked delicious!

Always pleasant staff and a delicious iced lattes. I come here a few times a week and always have wonderful service. I started coming here because of the crumby service I received at Gene Cafe down the street. <br/ <br/ The place is a bit run-down and could use some new chairs, but I over look the decor for the friendly staff and good coffee. <br/ <br/ They have a great lunch panini soup combo for under $10. They also have tasty baked goods that are vegan or gluten-free.

Good tea selection, delicious cinnamon buns, cozy atmosphere. Great place to get out of the rain

Coffee and good vibes. This cafe has the best coffee on the block. And by Vancouver terms, that means something. I am always greeted with a polite hello, served quickly and the music playing usually makes me tap my toes. I've never disliked anything I've eaten there. Keep up the good work Our Town you're a cornerstone of the community!
