Bidra med feedbackTheir bbq duck is tasty, meaty and inexpensive compared to local competitors.. Went in to pick up some bbq meats and saw that their bbq duck is only $16.50 for a whole duck and $8.50 for half. Ordered the half duck and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. Lots of meat and very comparable in quality and quantity to other local Chinese butcher shops/restaurants, but a little less expensive. Most places now are $9.50 for half or $18.00+ for a whole bbq duck. <br/ <br/ Next time I'm in the area and have a craving for duck, I'll certainly head to Kent's Kitchen, but park on the street and walk in cause that parking lot is nuts.
The dishes are quite oily so I recommend only visiting this place seldomly. For the price and the amount of food you get it's simply unbeatable!
The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from my dental office, so I find myself eating lunch here often. For only $7.25, you get a generous portion of food served in a box. Typically, you can choose two items to go on rice, with the option to upgrade to fried rice or noodles for an additional cost of $1.25, or opt for specialty items. My go-to choices are the tofu and fish, which I absolutely love for their delicious flavor. Some of the staff members are more generous with their portions than others, so I recommend keeping an eye out for the ones who tend to give more if you become a regular customer.
I visited this restaurant while I was in the area and it reminded me of how much I love the food in Chinatown. Kent's Kitchen is a great option for those on a budget looking for delicious Chinese food. The portions are generous and the food is decent, although sometimes a bit too oily. However, for less than $8, it is definitely worth it. The restaurant is similar to what you would find in Chinatown, but with a cleaner facility. I would choose Kent's Kitchen over a McDonald's Happy Meal any day.
If you're feeling hungry last minute and only have about $5 to spend on food, this Chinese fast food restaurant is the place to go. They offer lunch combo specials and it gets really busy during dinner time. The takeout service is quick and simple. You can even go in your pajamas because no one cares. Just grab a number and choose what you want to eat. They only accept cash payments, and the parking lot can be tight so be cautious. I've witnessed a few accidents in this lot before.
