Grotto - Vancouver

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is a bit quiet, possibly due to its unconventional location. However, my pasta dish is always perfectly cooked.

The quality of the food was excellent considering the price. The restaurant was not very crowded, likely due to our visit being on a weekday.

The food at this restaurant is great, the cocktails are fantastic, and they offer a variety of ever-changing sorbet options. The only downside is the service. During my two visits, the servers appeared to be overworked. On my most recent visit, there was someone clearing tables who seemed unqualified to take orders, and the main server was also making cocktails, which can be challenging when serving large groups. The server was apologetic for the delays. If you don't mind waiting for your service or reminding the staff that you need to order, then I recommend giving this place a try.

Quality Italian Comfort Food. I really enjoyed Grotto when we visited for dinner. I had the gnocchi which was well prepared and tasted great. Everyone at our table enjoyed their dishes and drinks. They have a number of creative cocktails and the sangria packs a punch. Grotto is a little hard to see from the street as it's set below street level. From the outside the interior looks rather dark, but once your in the restaurant it's rather warm and inviting. Prices are reasonable, service is good, food is well prepared and the atmosphere is cozy. Would certainly recommend.

I can't say enough great things about how great the food is at this great place that serves great food.
