Bidra med feedbackWe really enjoyed our lunch at this upscale pub. The location is just off of Robson St in the beautiful Coal Harbour. The place is tastefully decorated with comfy seats and a balcony. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was even Irish! The food was delicious. We tried the steak sliders and the salad. Both were delicious. If I'm in town again, I'd certainly return.
Our children live out of town so I take my husband out for dinner. This year we went to Forkhill House Irish Pub. It is located in an old home on a quiet street in an otherwise busy neighborhood. We were welcomed into the restaurant. Our server was warm and friendly and well briefed on the special. We took his advise and ordered the Sunday special which was roast beef. It was delicious! Accompanying the roast were delicious potatoes, carrots that were amazing and a popover. Everything was so good we both cleaned our plates. It was a lovely place to celebrate my sons' father!
We were pleased to see the restaurant/pub has been re-invented as the Forkhill House under new ownership. We stopped by for happy hour and were treated to great beer, great food and exceptional service albeit there were not too many patrons at that time. Prices reasonableDishes we sampled included the steamed mussels which were fresh and in a chirozo broth, scotch egg and the Yorkies with a different twist being corned beef rather than roast beef. All dishes were beautifully plated and deliciousOur waiter was friendly and took time to get to know us as did the owner who genuinely appreciated our businessAll said and done, this is our new go to pub in the west end and to which we will introduce to our friends
Okay, I really want to say something good about this place but the price and the quality of food really doesn't connect.
This is probably the worst meal I've had in many years! With all the amazing restaurants Vancouver has to offer this one shouldn't even get a blip.
