Five Sails - Vancouver

Great service and great food! definitely recommend for a special night out!

The bear restaurant where I was in vancouver, the five sails broke away. I took my friend there on her first trip to vancouver and the incredible prospect on coal harbour, north vancouver, west vancouver, stanley park, the mountain, and the sea drove us both away. the food itself was incredible, with fresh B.C halibut satisfying our appetit, while the mouth watering appetizers contain cloves and carrot soup served in espresso tassen. the dessert menu was really handcrafted and we chose an apfelstrudel with pistazieneis. the wee was an aromatic zinfandel, who really set the mood. when the sun went beyond the mountain, we sat and spoke, drank wein and took the food, while the service was so professional and not intrusive that we did not even feel their inestimacy, except we needed it. they moved us with precision of ballroom dancers, while they all our needs quickly, but not intrusively buried. this ensured a really nice romantic evening. Beyond that, the staff was able to meet a unique request from me, which was a romantic gesture to surprise my friend who deeply enjoyed them. we had an incredible time in the five sails restaurant and I will definitely return. my hearts, if they are looking for a romantic evening with their dame, are the five sails of the place to go.

We went to five sails for date night in our last night in vancouver and could not have been impressed anymore. the restaurant is located for beginners in the beautiful Pan-Pazifisch hotel and the Oceans bar below had live music that really set the ton. when we went to the staff, were friendly and accommodating and took our moms and immediately let us sit in an intimate table for two views on the harbour. we could not have been sitting for more than 2 minutes when our waiter came and got our drinks. he came back with the five sail mojitos we ordered and brought fresh sourdough. that has set the ton for the rest of the night. our waiter (which I remembered his name) was attentive and friendly. never had to be asked for more water and the tellers were deleted as soon as we were finished. the food came out quickly and everything was incredibly delicious. portion sizes are not large, but are about average for what they would expect in a fine restaurant as this. that said we have left definitiw hunger. we both had the daily specials. my wife had the slow braided Veal keks, and I had the halibut with Lobster kesseln. eating was fantastic. dessert was just as delicious and came out quickly. overall we were very happy with our experience and will be sure that we are next time in vancouver.

500 dollars for 2 people I would hope to have beer selection more then 2 types. I like Heineken personally. I ended up drinking up sparkling water. My wife got to enjoy her champagne and red.

This is a beautiful restaurant with views of the water, city and mountains beyond. Quiet and elegant decor. Exceptional service. Food presentation is artful and very appealing. We had a variety of beef and seafood dishes, appetizers and desserts. Done to perfection.
