Falafel King Restaurant - Vancouver

Falafel King is the top spot for shawarma and donair in the West End. While I also like Babylon, Donair Town, and Donair Dude, Falafel King stands out with its tasty chicken shawarma and generous portions. The homemade hummus is fantastic as well. I highly recommend stopping by!

I used to love this joint in the West End for their shawarma. I wish I could say 'great hole in the wall ' but unfortunately it has been quite dirty the last couple of times I have come. Hard to resist coming back though you can literally smell the chicken shawarma from a block away.

BEST value in all of the WEst End. This is a great value to eat some great, fresh food. The seating is a bit limited, but usually a seat can be found somewhere on the sidewalk tables. The Schwarma is ridiculous. I recommend this as one of your FIRST choices since the affordability is so obvious.

This restaurant in Vancouver serves the best Shawarma I've had. It has a subtle anti-American vibe, so it's best not to mention you're from the States to avoid any heated reactions. My American family and I always make sure to stop by whenever we visit English Bay or cross the border. I highly recommend getting the Shawarma plate!

After an afternoon of biking along the Stanley Park seawall a couple of weekends ago, our hungry stomachs urged us to stop for food before heading back home. We had always been curious to try Falafel King, as it consistently appeared busy and had been recommended to us before.
