Bidra med feedbackI ordered the octopus karaage, croquettes, and hayashi spaghetti with hamburger steak at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the karaage was soggy, so I requested a remake. The second one was better in terms of crispiness, but there was too much batter and it tasted like oil. The croquettes were average, but the pasta was flavorful and the steak was tender. Overall, I wouldn't make a special trip to eat at this place again.
This is definitely my favorite casual Japanese restaurant. I've noticed that most Japanese restaurants usually only offer non-alcoholic drinks to go. However, at this place, we tried the London Fog, Shanghai Fog, and Vienna coffee, and they were all excellent. Unlike other Japanese restaurants, they also offer a variety of delicious desserts. I also appreciate that they have a mild curry option, which is perfect for my child who can't handle spicy food.
Very unique Japanese fusion restaurant. A bit of french style. The dishes are very reasonably priced and done with care and taste great. Always a bit of a surprise and want to come back to try the rest of the menu. Parking in the small lot is achallenge as it's shared with other restaurants in the small mall.
We came on a weekday and the restaurant was already mostly full when we got there at around 12pm. We got the chicken karage, poutine with hayashi sauce, Masago de creamy pasta, wafu spaghetti and grapefruit cheesecake. Ive been here quite a few timesand their quality is always consistent. The flavours and everything have not changed over the years. They have the ultimateJapanese fusion comfort food. It was actually the first time I ordered the chicken karage and unfortunately it wasdisappointing. It's not your usual chicken karage. The breading is very light and doesn't feel like it was fried at all.Unfortunately I like a heavier chicken karage. Needed to be a bite crispier The poutine with Hayashi sauce is my go to mustorder everytime. No visit is complete without this. It seems like their portion for the poutine has gotten ever so slightlysmaller. The chips are still very crispy and the sauce still meaty and heart but just felt a bit smaller than usual. The Masagode creamy pasta is also another must order. Strangely enough it seems like their portions for the pastas have gotten bigger. Waymore noodles than before. The Masago creamy pasta is very savoury and addicting. The Masago gives it that umami flavour. Itleaves you wanting more. It's not overly creamy or heavy. The pasta is always cooked to perfection everytime. It was our firsttime trying the wafu pasta and I gotta say the Masago pasta is still more delicious. The wafu just didn't have that wow factorfor me. I thought the bonito would give it that same umaminess I got from the Masago but it didn't. I wouldn't order thisagain. For dessert we finished off with the grapefruit cheesecake. We like most of their desserts as they are not overly sweetand they have a wide range of desserts. The grapefruit was refreshing. There was a jello later in it which gave it a nicecontrast with the cream cheese layers. Not overly sweet. Would get again Overall one of my favourite places to go for a relaxed
The food at this restaurant is delicious. The Japanese-style curry is savory with a perfect level of spiciness, creating a unique and tasty sauce. It pairs perfectly with their house specialty rice topped with pork cutlet. The Hayashi sauce is also very flavorful. They offer a variety of extras to customize your meal to your liking. While there may be a wait as they do not take reservations, it is definitely worth it. The dishes are reasonably priced at $15-20, making it a great value for the quality of the food.
