Bidra med feedbackWorth the 50 min wait. Next time we will reserve online! Super tight seating but we didnt mind. We are used to that for local hot brunch spots. I've never had a coffee crusted pork benny before. Sounded very intriguing and it didnt disappoint! Nice infusion of flavours that balanced each other out it worked! Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu.
I was initially going for a Dine Out Vancouver 2019 brunch on Sunday, but my friend and I instead detoured to Breakfast Table. A smallish but apparently popular place, it still had a line up at almost 2 PM, but it was quite short and the wait time was maybe around 15 minutes. You can leave your name and number with them and get notified by a text message when your table is ready Handy!
I went to this place for their weekday brunch. Although their menu isn't particularly large, they offer a variety of interesting items such as shortribs and chicken karage in addition to the usual sausage and bacon. I had their Coffee Crusted Pork Belly Benedict, which was quite tasty although I do think that their sides can be improved). The staff were also very friendly and attentive. This is a solid place, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for breakfast/brunch.<br/ <br/ Coffee Crusted Pork Belly Benedict $16):<br/ 3.5/5<br/ This came with a side of seasonal vegetables and potato hash. The benedict itself was very good. I had requested the egg yolks to be a bit on the firmer side, and they fulfilled my request perfectly: the eggs were cooked so that the yolks on the outside were firm while the interior was still slightly runny. There were two fairly thick slices of pork belly, which, while a bit chewy, was well-seasoned and flavourful. Surprisingly however, my favourite part had to be the English muffin: it was buttery, crispy on the outside with a soft and chewy interior. The amount of bearnaise sauce that they served was pretty scant, but I honestly didn't mind since I found it to be a bit too acidic for my liking I prefer hollandaise). Unfortunately, I did find the sides to be a bit disappointing. The vegetables which consisted of kabocha, daikon radish, carrots and pappers) were pretty bland. The potato hash was pretty anemic and not at all crispy) and also bland. I do hope that they might consider tweaking and improving the sides a bit more.
Good service<br/ good food <br/ a bit on the pricey side<br/ no parking but there are paid street parking<br/ if I had to choose 1 dish: classic breakfast<br/ would I go back? Maybe
Cozy little brunch joint that I would never have noticed were I not looking for it specifically. I was looking for a place that serves brunch near work and this gem popped up.<br/ <br/ We had ordered the salmon hash and the coffee crusted pork belly Benedict. Food was served fairly quickly, presentation was pretty good. I was quite impressed with the pork belly benny. Chewy and crispy with the faint coffee taste! The service there was excellent, the staff was friendly from the moment we went in all the way til we were leaving.<br/ <br/
