Portobello Ristorante - Vancouver

We shared a salad, pasta and main of chicken sautéed in oil and fresh vegetables. House sauvignon blanc wine was very good. Service was good and attentive.

It 's a small family restaurant with excellent food and great service. Randy, our waiter even helped me with parking in the back. He even came out back to check on me and showed me in. It was my wife 's birthday and we were visiting from Hawaii but the aloha spirit was there. The owners came over and we even had a nice talk about Sicily.

Since moving to Vancouver in the Spring, we have attempted to visit and experience the wonderful food venues and restaurants which Vancouver has to offer. Our visit to Portobello on Friday certainly lived up to it's reputation. We each elected something difference from the menu and we were not disappointed. The service, the wine selection, the menu and the atmosphere made for a perfect evening. 5 stars are not enough and we will be back.

This a a restaurant we always take people to whether out of town guests or local friends. We have been patrons of Joe and Rosa since their original Portobello at 4th and Burrard. Delicious and traditional Italian cuisine with the freshest ingredients. Very good value. Thanks

Service has always been excellent and always forget that Portobello is easy to get to from anywhere in Vancouver .... classic Italian, small and intimate.
