Black Angus Tavern Grille - Van Wert

I have nothing good to say on this review. Decided this would be a good place to eat before a show at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. No reservation despite me calling to reserve a table but at least we were able to be seated. Not sure that was a good thing. My silverware was disgusting. Some type of black sticky substance. No bread with our meals. Salad did not taste good. Forgot my shrimp cocktail. None of us liked our rice pilaf. My ribs were not good at all. Tough and not a good taste. At least the water tasted fine. If this is the best in Van Wert, I feel sorry for the people who live here.

No service. We were completely ignored at 7pm on a Thursday night. No staffing issues, just ignored.

Tried to dine here as when we have come back to van wert we have eaten there with family on a few occasions. This time our experience was awful. No service at all. Waited a long time. 1 of the appetizers came with the food and the other came 20 mins after the food. Chicken wrap came with one small piece of chicken. Felt sorry for the waitress. Now our whole party isn’t feeling well. Won’t be back

We really enjoyed the delicious brunch buffet today. Everything was tasty and had excellent service. Good job!
