La Tafena - Valverde

Visited El Hierro for 3 nights and had lunch and dinner at this restaurant. Of all the meals out we had ate this restaurant was by far the best. Staff were friendly, place was very clean. Food was hot and nicely cooked. It gets very busy so unless you are there as soon as it opens I would recommend booking a table. Highly recommend.

Looking for some lunch, we were lucky to find this excellent restaurant and a superb meal. Unusually all our choices were fried (don’t often eat much fried food) and NOTHING was greasy. The aubergine and cheese dish was so so good highly recommended. It all was. Believe the reviews

We enjoyed an excellent lunch of pork steak in a sauce with potatoes followed by delicious desserts and all at a very reasonable price with friendly attentive service. Certainly some of the best food we have eaten in our various visits to the island.
