We had the chance to try Soul Let's Eat (@soul.lets.eat) at the Foodieland Night Market in Berkeley during Fleet Week on October 8th. We sampled their Cajun fish, turkey, ribs, and peach cobbler. One standout for us was the deep-fried alligator bits we got from Alligator Bunkers, a protein we had recently discussed but I had never tried during my travels around the Everglades. For $20, we received six pieces of alligator surrounded by a generous portion of French fries, which were topped with a somewhat overpowering spicy seasoning. While I enjoyed the novelty of trying something new, I didn't feel that it offered good value for the price, and I probably wouldn't order it again.
"BBQ turkey, aged to perfection, and more."
