Bidra med feedbackThere has been a lack of good BBQ in Vallejo and so I visited this place on whim, not expecting much as I was craving some BBQ. Boy was i in for a surprise. Its tucked away inside a bar in the back, but dont let that fool you. This is the real deal. I ordered the 4 meat God combo that comes with 3 sides. Who gives 3 sides? Nobody I know of in V-Town and this were large portions, not the small dinky ones you see at other places. The mac and cheese is bomb as is the potato salad and greens. It was so good I went back a few days later to make sure it wasn't a fluke. They knocked it out the park again this time I tried the beans with hams hocks, green beans, and more potato salad. The beans were amazing! I mean AMAZING! as were the other sides. The meat is smoked and seasoned just right and tender to the bite. I have tasted everything except the chicken and that will be next. If you are looking for real smoked BBQ look no further. This place beats anything in Vallejo hands down. As for me this is now my new spot.
This was my first time trying Red Ring Ribs and I was impressed. The ribs I received were really tender and flavorful. Brisket was cooked just right. Mac and Cheese was creamy and great. Potato salad had good texture. Red Ring is my new go-to BBQ place.
Amazing Brisket And Pork Ribs. Great sized side dishes and portions. Best barbecue I've had In a long time.
We ordered a 2 item and a rack of ribs. Tri-Tip, Brisket, and Ribs were all tasty. The ribs were made perfect, we didn't have to work hard to get the meat off the bone. My brother's favorites were the Ribs and Tri-Tip. Service was great, glad we decided to try this place out!
This was my first time giving this BBQ spot a try, so my expectations were already low. I decided to get some food her because I wanted to support small businesses. So I call and the person answers the phone and says hello? No business should answer the phone like that, its not proper phone etiquette. I asked about the deals today and he mentions 2 specialty pizzas and a shrimp boil (1lb of shrimp 2 corn cobs). I opted for the shrimp boil. I get there 20 mins later and I walk in to a bar-like place and it looks like they are cooking out of the kitchen. They have a table set up for pick up and things. I told him im the one that called about the shrimp boil. I give him $25 and he says its going to be 10-15mins. Luckily i literally live just around the corner (4 mins) so I go home and drop off my little one and then coming back. I went back and he says here you go. Hands me my order. I also purchased the peach cobbler $3 since I saw reviews on it. Apparently the shrimp boil came with garlic noodles, so i thought that was a plus. Onto the food, the garlic noodles were cold and also didn 't have a distinct garlic flavor in my opinion Fire Wings Garlic noodles is the best in Vallejo. The shrimp boil did seem fresh but I 'm not sure if they are using old shrimp or if its overcooked. Just seemed a little chewy, and i 've had my fair share of seafood boils. They for sure arent jumbo shrimp and im positive it wasn 't 1lb of shrimp in there. The sausage inside was probably the best tasting thing out of my order. Peach cobbler I would give a 5 out 10. All in all I was disappointed in the food quality and service. I probably should of tried their BBQ instead. But after my first time experience here not sure if i 'll be returning sadly.
