Bidra med feedbackNice surprise, didn 't expect to find that nice place when walking around Valladolid on sunday evening where many restaurants are closed. We were looking for a meat place, famous ones closed, find this spot. Simply amazing. Great service, orienting us to order proper dishes for our kids, we ask for chuleton and it was simply spectacular, and price even better. I am a meat guy, and would come back again to this place. Value for money, a great choice. They have their own cuttle raising, so can handle better prices without lowering the quality. Highly recommended, honestly.
An excellent restaurant. Since you are inside you are well attended. You can see the pieces of meat you are going to have for meal. The staff is very friendly and asks you for the point of cooking and the wines.
The local NH Hotel's kitchen was shut so they arranged for us to go to the Braseria Poniente. On arrival we were taken upstairs and experienced great prompt service. Recommended was the Formula Chuleta. I can not understand why so many spanish reviewers have complained about either the service or food. To start was a massive plate of beautifully cut jamon iberico, too much but we forced ourselves to finish it. This was followed by a cod omlette which would not have been my choice but was remarkably good and enjoyable. The main course was a very rare beef chuleta which had stopped mooing but was beautifully tender and tasty followed by cheesecake. The whole was washed down with a very pleasant young Ribera de Duero. Our service was prompt and courteous and the food was very enjoyable. Whilst Valladolid is not the most exciting town we would certainly return to the Poniente if we are in Valladolid again. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Just a few blocks from Plaza Mayor, Brasería Poniente li s a fabulous find! Being a Monday, most joints in this renown tapas area were closed. Gracias a Dios, BP welcomed us with open arms! Our server was fabulous and set us up with a delicious, young Ribera del Duero 'tinto that hit the spot! The jamón serrano was perfect as well. All for less than 20 euros with tip for 2. Wow!!!
I had the best chuleton( beef steak 600 grams) and still can't believe the price was soooo cheap! Tried also the beef tail and mini burger!!!!! A must!
