Bidra med feedbackWe have visited this restaurant many times over the years. The food is very good and brilliant value for money! €18.50 for a three course Meal with wine and bread. Staff were very friendly, especially the male waiter that served us, who took time to explain the menu and understand our limited Spanish. He was very friendly and welcoming. For example he dropped a knife at our table, my 8 year old niece picked it up for him and he thanked her by bringing her a free truffle, to her delight.
When it comes to the cost of living, Spain 's Costa Brava costs a packet and particularly when eating out. Taking your family for a ordinary two course meal with drinks at some non-descript seaside restaurant in Llafranc or Calella de Palafrugell will set you back the best part of E35/40 per head. There are lots of 'menu del dias ' which offer a three course meal with bread, water and wine for less than E10 per head but these offers are usually only available at lunchtime which is when you really want to be doing something else. Those restaurants that do offer a menu of the day in the evening tend to withdraw the offer in the busy season. Step forward La Tina. E15.50 per head at weekends and only E9-90 during the week. A wide number of choices and not bad grub. Some of the local Brits nickname it Latrina or La Cantina and it is a bit of the latter. The decor is 40 years old and the waiting staff are a bit grumpy but it is brilliant value for money. It 's very popular with people staying on the nearby camp sites so don 't worry too much about getting changed for dinner. To find it, take the main Palafrugell to Palamos road. Pass Big Mat and the 'sexy dancing ' club on the right and La Tina is on the right just past the Xidors tea house.
