Bidra med feedbackWe were staying in a nearby hotel and this small restaurant was just five minutes drive away. The food is traditional catalan food ie fish, shellfish and wonderful vegetables. The value is excellent eg a whole turbot was €13 and a whole monkfish was €12. The service was excellent. Natalie was the only waitress working when we were there and she loved to chat and test her english so please chat to her a very nice spanish girl. The cook actually came out of the kitchen to ask is everything was ok. Faultless service. The restaurant is very quiet at the moment because the locals are not using it owing to the financial climate in Spain. We hope the restaurant survives as its simply great
We went on a Saturday evening around 2100 and were amazed to see that the restaurant was deserted. The menu was large with plenty of fish and meat dishes to choose from and some interesting combinations like duck with pears delicious). Very good value, huge portions cheap wine and friendly service.
I really cannot believe this place hasn't more reviews. Great food and great prices! Beer is 1.70, no bottle of wine over 9 euros and a whole monk fish for 12 euros. Need i say any more? The menu is typically spanish, with hot/cold starters, mains and deserts, we opted for gazpachio and grilled vegetables, the gazpachio came in what i would call a fish bowl, and the grilled vegetables was a mixture of peppers, aubergine, tomato, asparagus and what would appear to be a type of squash/marrow served with 2 dipping sauces, one was a romesco, the other like a garlic mayo (no....im not being thick, it wasn't aioli! for mains, she had squid and i monk fish, which were both beautifully cooked and really tasty, the mains come with grilled vegetables, so if i were to go again i would have a different starter. Too full for a desert, so cant comment! Friendly and prompt service, So yeah.... Check it out! You would be foolish not to!
