Caravela - Vailankanni

Saturdays tend to get very busy at this restaurant, but it is more relaxed and comfortable to dine there Monday through Friday. They also offer discounts for dining in the restaurant, making it a better option than ordering room service.

Our experience with the Caravela restaurant has not been great. Food is very ordinary, somewhat substandard in my opinion. Service is terrible, staff are inexperienced. Overall experience is really on the bottom end, given the prices charged. Sadly the management does not seem to want to change anything.We've stayed at the Hotel every time we visit Velankanni, over the past 6 years, and this restaurant has only deteriorated in my opinion.

This is one of the good restaurant in velankanni.tandoori awesome here. punjabi and Chinese food also avliable here.

Menu options were minimal. Food reasonable. Ambience good. Price more expensive than other restaurants in Velankanni, but still reasonable considering other places. Complementary breakfast was not up to the mark. No bread / toast, flavoured juice instead of fresh, coffee / tea in disposable cups and only boiled egg (no other options).

Not worth it.... I was charged Rs. 100 for just one cup of coffee and didn't even receive a bill for it. The food was okay, but it took a long time to come out. I would recommend choosing a different restaurant instead.
