Bidra med feedbackReally delicious Japanese cuisine in uyuni. I am vegetarian, and they were also more than willing to fit their menu to me! although we stand up! they have recently changed to be a bar/Japanese place, and their Japanese menu is not always available! we went a few days ago and were told to the cook that they were not there and would have Japanese tomorrow. So be sure, maybe contact them before the time to make sure they are the menu they are looking for! super friendly staff. an art grungy vibe with super loud music, but when they come by, eating really makes up.
Having travelled in Peru and Bolovia for the last two weeks, we found this Japanese restaurant in the small town of Uyuni. Usually I will manage my expectation especially when I saw the food was cooked by local. We ordered the beef and the pork, both came with miso soup and rice. The taste was unexpectedly good and deserves a thumb up!
Soup noodle was nice for a cold weather in Uyuni. However, the noodle is essentially instant noodles, and charges 45 BOB, a bit much for instant noodle, otherwise if want something warm noodle soup and an egg, this place is good.
Homemade taste. Warm service. Price is high in Bolivia standard.
Despite the limited dining options in the city, Hotaru Uyuni is a dinner destination worth visiting. Offering delicious Japanese-inspired cuisine and friendly service, this restaurant stands out for its unique selection and high quality food in Uyuni. All Japanese dishes are priced at 45 bolivianos, and the portion sizes and food quality are both pleasing. While the atmosphere of the restaurant could use some improvement, the food alone makes this place well worth a visit.
