Mi Casa - Utica

My son, his girlfriend and I finally got to eat at Mi Casa today after reading all the great reviews in this page. First we are happy that they are open on Monday. The place is so nicely decorated and spotless. We were greeted by Joanna our server who was friendly and explained the menu. This was our first time ordering Dominican food. The menu has many choices. There were several specials but we ordered off the menu. David chose Pachuga Del Valle which is a chicken dish with mozzarella and plantains. I chose Clams En Salsa De Casa which included toast points and a yummy seasoned garlic sauce and Nicole chose the Campo Y Monte a vegetarian eggplant dish. They chose fried plantains as their side dish. Our food was served quickly and was so delicious. Both meals included a lettuce and tomato side salad on the plate. Joanna proudly told us that some customers make a 2 hour trip for the Chicken dish. I tasted both of their meals and loved both. The chicken was moist and tender and the sauce was so tasty. And I loved the eggplant dish which was so different than any other eggplant I've ever tasted. The total for all 3 which included 2 beers was $43 without tip. Mi Casa is located at 1315 Genesee St. They take credit cards and have a small bar area and very clean bathrooms.

Mi casa restaurant is one of our top 10 restaurant you can choose from if u Want Hispanic food in the area , great service and fresh food .. if u haven't had it get at it !

So good! I went with family and we didn't know what some of the dishes were. Our waitress was kind enough to bring out her tablet and show us pictures of the dishes and explain them in detail. Everyone was more then welcoming! The food presentation was art! We will definitely be returning! Thank you!
