La Meridiana - URBINO

This restaurant is in the hotel of same name. We spent two nights at the hotel and had dinner here both nights. The food is good, simple and wholesome. Servers are very nice. It feels as if you are eating at home after a long day of sightseeing.

After a day of sightseeing in Urbino we were tired and decided to stay and eat in the hotel. It was a good decision. We started with a nice aperitivo in the lobby with some canapes and adjourned to the restaurant for our dinner. One is served wholesome food in generous portions really enjoyable good service. We had two breakfasts here also and I really enjoyed the vast array of cakes that were on offer. Not a place to be on a diet!!!

Really good food at a real good price. We ate here both nights we were there and not because we did not have any other choices. The house wine was good, and the food was too. The breakfast was like an American buffet. Too much food really. Everyone we interacted with were super accommodating, really nice and all spoke great or at least decent English. We were the only English speaking guests we saw and this region does not get too many americans. We were made to feel welcome. OK they could have, with some minimal changes, really improved the ambiance of the restaurant. The food and experience were much better than you would gather from the picture. Just lowering the light a bit for dinner would help .

I was lucky to mention the last of the year, and I must say that I did not get up with hunger, indeed, I had to postpone in the kitchen, unfortunately, some courses since I was really satisfied. I recommend this restaurant, clean cozy and attentive to the needs of customers, with helpful and smiling staff.
