Loak Toung Thai - University Place

Authenticity Thai food. the first time for years I had this delicious restaurant thai. a great positive sound and very close to the etc. with genuineness the heat comes. I like it, but for those who are not ready, they start low, even a zero. a 5 her better born and raised in this level of heat. super service. very cheap! a lot of food per article. this place, one of the rare foundations, gets an equally guess 5 stars.

We went here on a whim, because they were the closest Thai restaurant open on New Years Day…… and what a stoke of luck it turned out to be! The ambiance is very nice, relaxed and comfortable, and the service was very pleasant, attentive and quick. We had green curry, panang curry, pad thai and tom kha, and it was all honestly so amazing. I eat a lot of thai food and this was among the very best I’ve ever had. All of it! Fresh and tasty, balanced and spicy if desired, really good! We will be back, soon!

Beautiful place, with authenticity in the food spice level like Thailand where we visit often, and CRAZY GENEROUS portions. 1 star minus for: A) very slow service (they’re short of staff, but their high school staff are trying their best very polite and accommodating; one slightly aggressive customer refused to scan the QR menu and insisted on a physical menu the tall high sch female went right ahead to find one for him. B) meats are kinda tough/over cooked, but flavour is def there. So overall, def a place I’ll return to! Randomly spoke to a staff who turn out to be the the Boss, and he told us his wife who’s cooking is from Thailand. That explains a lot about the flavours. Super great folks, will be back if we visit this state again.

Cool little spot. looks sketchy from the outside, but this is the majority of tacoma for you. this place is really delivered on delicious food and stellar service. huge portions and a really cool atmosphere they wouldn't expect when they first roll on the place. it is one of the better places I was in the opposite and it deserves a better position. but I'm not trying to knock the restaurant. the Thai tea is one of my favorite things ever. I was surprised that it wasn't packed, but it deserved to be. try it out and spread the love to this little jewel!

Such a sound! does not see-descript from outside, but inside it is super sweet. especially recommend the fresh rolls. not a glass noodle filler, only delicious vegetables and protein! large portion sizes also on everything I have.
