Bidra med feedbackThe garlic evaporated mushles were exactly what I believed. in the night before me was a touch disappointed about harvey cedars shellfish, so this fix my mood. I also loved the ahi tuna tacos. all meals are served at the theke and in takeaway containers that allow for quick and easy eating. can not wait to try other menu items
Classic fish fry (or broiled.) nothing nice, but eating is good. they are busy, but we had no problem getting a table on a Monday night. sitting inside and outside. when they worry about crowds they takeout
Hmmm, this is a tough review. The owners are unfriendly and very indifferent to their customers. Also noticed that they were a bit tough on their young staff. Lastly, expensive. Two kids chicken fingers and two adults meals came to $115. That said, the food is tasty. John's blushing shrimp and the mahi over street corn were both very good. Mussels were good too but when we ordered bread for dipping, it was a $3 hamburger roll. Clam strips were standard. Atmosphere is just ok as the place sits right on the boulevard. The loud music over the speakers didn't help either. But, the property/dining areas are very well maintained and relatively nice for a casual fish market. If money isn't a concern and you plan to eat it on your own deck, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, I'd go somewhere where customers are appreciated.
I came here with my husband because most other restaurants in town had an hour and a half plus wait. The food was good but our bill came out to almost $20 more than it should have with no explanation as to why. We sat outside at a picnic table (self seating) and ordered takeout. I am assuming the extra cost was a service charge but that seems incredibly steep for takeout. Overall we liked the food but for over $100 for two pastas and a slice of pie I would much rather prefer dining somewhere with table service. This is especially true due to the fact that there was no service charge or additional fees advertised anyway that we could find.
Really 3 1/2 stars Great for fresh fish to cook at home. Take out portions are large, but quite expensive for picnic table plastic fork service. Some specials have indoor waiter prices topping $40 for blackboard items. The tuna in a basil wrap and the special tuna entree were hard and dry to the touch making them chewy. The Johns blushing shrimp $35 and raw clams were good. Swordfish steaks nice and fresh at $24.95 per pound. Admired the Quick kitchen service, but it resulted in constant announcements that order were done for the party of Smith Jones etc.
