Bidra med feedbackThis is an absolutely classic Norfolk country pub. It has changed little over the decades I've known it and most likely over a longer timespan than that. Characteristic of such pubs, it has no bar but instead drinks are served from a serving window with the beer poured directly from casks lined up in the serving room. The beers are local, Woodforde's but also new brewers too, and are all expertly taken care of and are the definition of perfection in cask conditioning and serving. The food is also excellent and features many local products and comes in ample servings. The pub still retains the flagstone floors, small rooms, and real open fires and absolutely no superfluous decoration or tarting up. This is everything you want in a country pub and a remarkable survivor.
Pubs don't come any better than this. Great beer is sold from the barrel and never tasted better. The food here is also terrific with local specialities including cockles. The pub is split over several rooms of real character and can get a little busy at times. There's always a board full of specials as well. There is an accompanying bed and breakfast and it's ideal for exploring the North Norfolk coast.
The three horseshoes is a hidden gem situated in the village of Warham not far from Wells next the sea. The bar itself is tiny but immensely cosy and they do some first class pub food for very reasonable prices. The real ales are good -mainly from the Woodfordes stable, and seem well kept. They sell their own homemade lemonade too which is delicious. It's a very friendly place and there's a lovely walled garden area and courtyard out the front where you can while away the hours on a sunny day. It's a great pub to cycle to as it's approached down quiet, country lanes with little traffic. Parking is a bit limited if you are driving and it'd be wise to book ahead if planning to eat during busy times.
Yes this pub is great! Me and my partner haven't long lived in the area so we thought we would go and try out our local, and its LOVELY good quality of drinks and AWSOME food sold here. Nice and friendly staff that work in the Three Horseshoes Will most defiantly be going back there again was really pleased : :D. X
